Dani Bassil

Digitas UK

Dani’s mission for 2021 has been to adapt Digitas to post-pandemic change, drive innovative work for clients and build a happy, inclusive workplace, while driving growth through winning new and incremental business – and she has succeeded on all fronts. Wins included ASOS, Samsung UK and Cybersource, plus expanded briefs from Under Armour, Marriott, Mondelez, Kellogg’s, Beiersdorf UK and Honda, as well as Publicis Groupe triumphs across BT/EE and Daily Mail Group.

For OREO, the agency’s Mixtapes collaboration with Spotify helped the brand to steal a disproportionate share of growth in the biscuit category; the Under Armour 'Tunnel Experience' recreated Anthony Joshua’s ring walk in a Kings Cross station; Samsung’s ‘Life Refocused’ pivoted the tech company’s marketing after Covid; and BT 'Hope United' (with sister agency Saatchi & Saatchi) took a stand against online abuse.

In her drive to build a more inclusive workforce, Dani reignited the agency’s partnership with apprenticeship coordinator Multivers, and hired a diverse group of new recruits. Dani also continued to implement Digitas’ own anonymised CV system, which by the end of 2021 had been introduced into 22 Publicis Groupe agencies.
