Sarah Jenkins was appointed to the role of managing director of Saatchi & Saatchi in September 2019, with a clear remit to supercharge talent, put people first and establish an environment where brilliant work is created.
In the last 12 months, SJ has deepened client relationships across the agency, most notably being a trusted partner to Direct Line in its bravest year yet, and doubling GSK revenue in one year.
SJ has also led the winning teams across three of Saatchi & Saatchi’s six new clients – including ShopAppy and Naked Glory from Kerry Foods, helping the agency get to the top of the Campaign new business ranking in November 2020.
This year SJ also set her sights on improving the industry’s diversity and social mobility, spearheading three transformational initiatives including a school outreach programme addressing creative education, an entry-level talent programme focusing on creative entrepreneurs, and an initiative to provide affordable accommodation for junior team members in London.
In 2020 SJ was also appointed to Chair the Campaign Female Frontier Awards. The awards put the spotlight on women who are pushing boundaries with their ground-breaking achievements.
