Whalar

Emma Harman

As a flag-bearer for the power of the Creator Economy, Emma was invited to 10 Downing Street to present her keynote to the government's New Media Unit. And then again for the Prime Minister.

It was another example of the standout year Creators have had in the creative industries and beyond. But for Whalar, under Emma’s leadership, it’s been an even bigger breakout year. Through hard work and strategic plays Emma’s led Whalar to the front of a growing sector, outperforming social (increased +20%) with over 40% growth. She restructured and incentivised the team for success, introduced new research and video production capabilities, and takes client education to another level with intimate, Creator-filled sessions and insights. She’s turned a ‘soft’ industry tactic into a hard, measurable commercial core media channel by helping prove the effectiveness of Creators with Kantar in a meta-analysis (announced at Cannes Lions). Clients are noticing, we’ve won 16 this year and 7 have appointed us their Agency of Record - rare and uplifting for our type of agency. As Co-Chair of the Influencer Marketing Trade Body, Emma revealed new ISBA standards and rules. She’s not just building a profitable company, she protecting talent and consumers alike.
